You can't use up creativity, the more you use, the more you have. - Maya Angelou
This quote has been one of the driving forces behind what I do the past few years, and has taught me to share that with people around liberally and joyfully. The worst part of this creative journey that I've experienced was the feeling of inadequacy that eventually led to being creatively handicapped. For a period of time, I could not lift another paintbrush, nor pencil to make a stroke. I refused to pen down thoughts. It was a low period of my life, but one that was necessary - one that helped me to empathise and to fight it now regardless. It really doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done. The need for perfection stopped me from creating, and there was no meaning in that at all...because you really will just get better with time.
And sharing this journey - now on a hopefully more effective platform! - is one of the best things I can do! It really is about building a community, a place of sharing and I don't want to be reserved about it (I might get lazy at times...) but hey let's keep each other going :)
More to come!
